Quanzhou's Major Footwear Brands Compete For Olympic Business Opportunities
As the Olympic Games are approaching, enthusiasm for sports marketing is booming. As an important production area of global sports products, Quanzhou has a surge of competition resources.
Recently, the leading brand XTEP took the only partner of the 11 National Games sports equipment, and Anta signed a cooperation agreement with the NBA rockets.
When the global sports brand is struggling for sports marketing, XTEP sword will take the lead and join hands with the Eleventh National Games held in Ji'nan, Shandong in October 2009 to sign the only partner and designated sponsor of sports equipment.
It is reported that the signing is XTEP's second cooperation after sponsoring the tenth games in 2005.
According to Wei Hai, manager of brand Department of XTEP (China) Co., Ltd., the cooperation is unique and exclusive. XTEP will dress up for the 11 National Games, provide the special equipment for the torch relay of the National Games, the judges, staff, volunteers clothing and the Shandong sports delegation's full award equipment, and will be named the men's and women's basketball matches of the National Games.
Ding Shuibo, President of XTEP (China) Limited, told reporters: "after the successful sponsorship of the ten games, we are more confident this time."
He believes that this is not only an investment in brand building, but also a return to society.
Last week, Anta announced in Shanghai that it will launch the NBA All-Star player and rocket player Steve Francis's naming basketball brand, and invites Bill Petersen, the internationally renowned designer of shoes, to design footwear products for him.
Xu Yang, director of brand management center of Anta (China) Co., Ltd., said that in the next two years, Francis will wear Anta professional basketball shoes in all competitions and training.
Reporter understands, at present, Anta also stepped up negotiations with the Rockets another player, the player may be the new joined forward forward Scola.
Ding Zhizhong, chairman and chief executive officer of Anta (China) Limited, said that it has developed a system for long-term product and brand development in the future. This cooperation is only a starting point, and there will be a series of development plans.

Last month's Eighth National Collegiate games, the only designated sponsor of sporting goods was Jordan (China) Limited.

After the rapid development of the sports industry in Quanzhou, brand promotion has shifted from a single celebrity endorsement a few years ago to a three-dimensional operation combined with the resources of more sports events.
