Born in 1985, SuperGroup PLC was founded by Julian Dunkerton, originally a clothing store called Cult Clothing, until 2003, together with James Holder to build Superdry business.

In the 2017 fiscal year ended April 29th, Superdry PLC recorded 752 million pounds in revenue, an increase of 27.4% over the previous year, an increase of 12.7%, of which the retail channel revenue was 502 million 500 thousand pounds, an increase of 20.8%. Wholesale channel revenue rose 43.2% to 249 million 500 thousand pounds.

The group is one of the best performing brands and groups in the UK apparel retailing industry in the past three years.

At the end of the 2017 fiscal year, Superdry PLC, the world's 49 countries, operates 555 stores, including 220 Direct stores, 319 franchise stores and 16 authorized stores.

The group's existing business is still mainly in Europe, of which the German market in 2012 is the priority. The market now operates 31 direct outlets and 14 franchise stores, while the group's e-commerce business grew by 35% last year, of which 25.9% of the self operated business revenue increased by 25.9%.

Superdry PLC is expanding its market in the United States and China in 2017. It has added 7 stores in the US market and basically achieved breakeven. In the Chinese market, there are 5 direct outlets and 3 franchise stores, and a new store opened in the 2018 fiscal year in May.

Superdry's extremely dry Chinese business is operated by a joint venture between the group and Ochirly Trendy International Group Hechi International Group, which has a shareholding ratio of 50:50.

In the annual report, Superdry PLC also said that the purchasing center of Shenzhen, China will be put into use, which will increase the direct mining proportion from 65% to 80%.

By the end of April, in the 2017 fiscal year, group revenue increased by 2% to 3.192 pounds, European income 42.1% to 332 million 900 thousand pounds, and other market revenues almost doubled from 50 million 400 thousand to 99 million 900 thousand pounds.
