Wenzhou Shoe Enterprises Are Interlinked By International Chain Giants

2009/3/5 0:00:00 41

Yesterday, Auchan, H&M, Lindex, Monsoon, Woolworths and other international chain giants from Europe and Australia completed the initial contact with shoemaking in Wenzhou.

Under the impact of the international financial crisis, in order to save procurement costs and shorten the procurement chain, these chain giants have been seeking direct docking with manufacturing enterprises.

Shoe industry, they aim at Wenzhou.

In March 3rd, overseas Chinese hotels, heads of procurement of Auchan, H&M, Lindex, Monsoon and Woolworths, and 18 heads of shoe companies in Wenzhou participated in the footwear Procurement Fair held by Alibaba.

According to Zhao Wei, manager of Wenzhou regional Alibaba, the event was held at the request of these big buyers.

Obviously, in the current economic environment, reducing the cost of procurement is the top priority for every business.

Previously, these retail chain giants were purchasing through third parties. Now it seems that they want to shrink the procurement chain to the shortest and directly connect with manufacturers.

Wenzhou's shoe making has become a regional brand in the world. This time they call the Wenzhou to watch shoes.

After contacting and inspecting the shoe making enterprises in Wenzhou, they not only changed the views of some international retail chain giants on Wenzhou shoes, but also strengthened their confidence in cooperation with Wenzhou enterprises.

COCO, head of the Monsoon procurement department, said that the reputation of Wenzhou shoes had long been heard, and that the products of Wenzhou enterprises were cheap, of low quality and of COPY style.

Now, his views on Wenzhou shoes have been completely changed. The quality of products he sees is very good and meets their requirements.

Zheng Qian, head of Wenzhou Lucheng Xiang Wei shoes Co., Ltd., attended the footwear procurement fair.

Xiang Wei shoes are now mainly exported to the Middle East, and Zheng Qian feels that the demand and demand in the European market are obviously different from those in the Middle East. Especially these large customers have strict requirements for the production enterprises not only for their high technical requirements, but also for their corporate culture and social responsibilities.

"It's always good to have such an opportunity."

Zheng Qian hopes to have contacts with these big buyers and find more business opportunities.

Zhao Wei believes that there may be some changes in the mode of international trade.

Large retail enterprises directly connect with manufacturers, which means that many of the original customers will lose their purchasing power, and those real buyers must establish their own channels to find partners. For most production enterprises, the equal access of these customers will be achieved. The enterprises in Wenzhou should adjust the marketing mode in time to seize this opportunity.
